David A. Ruiz

David Ruiz joined Moran Kidd in April 2015 after graduating with honors from Stetson University College of Law.  David’s practice is focused on representing employers and insurance carriers in workers’ compensation claims.

Prior to joining Moran Kidd, David gained litigation experience as a certified legal intern for both the Twelfth Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office in Manatee County and the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office in Hillsborough County.  David also served as a federal judicial intern for the Honorable Mark A. Pizzo of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and as a state judicial intern for the Honorable Samantha L. Ward of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida.

While enrolled at Stetson, David earned the highest grade distinction in Florida Administrative Law and Advanced Legal Research.  He graduated in the top 15 percent of his class and achieved the Dean’s List.  He was also a member of the Journal of International Wildlife Law and Policy.

Prior to entering Stetson, David obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Florida International University in Miami, Florida.  While obtaining his bachelor’s degree, he also worked in a law firm’s corporate department and at his family’s bakery.
