Javier Melendez Santiago joined Moran Kidd in September 2022. Javier’s practice is focused on representing employers, insurance carriers, third party administrators, and self-insured funds in workers’ compensation claims. Prior to joining Moran Kidd, Javier gained litigation experience as a Law Clerk at a small Claimant’s Workers’ Compensation firm in Downtown Orlando. Javier also served as a state judicial extern for the Honorable Susanne Wilson Bullard of the Eighth Judicial Circuit of Florida.
Javier earned his Juris Doctor from the Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law. During law school, Javier earned the highest grade distinction in Legal Research & Writing, Motions & Depositions, Advanced Legal Research, and Workers’ Compensation Law. He graduated with honors in the top 5% of his class, and was an Associate and Senior Editor for the Barry Law Review. He also served as a Teaching Assistant for the Legal Research & Writing Program.
Prior to law school, Javier obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida.
