Lauren Schieffelin joined Moran Kidd’s Litigation Department in December 2021. Lauren focuses her practice of representing individuals, businesses, and commercial entities in areas of automotive & trucking defense, premise liability, and general liability defense. Prior to joining Moran Kidd, Lauren worked for a large insurance defense firm focusing on premises liability and automotive negligence. Lauren brings her skillset and prior experience to Moran Kidd.
Lauren earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law. During law school, Lauren was a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team and served as a teaching assistant for Trial Practice. Additionally, Lauren was the recipient of the Governor’s Scholarship and the Excellence Award in recognition of her pro bono service. Prior to completion of law school, Lauren gained valuable experience interning at the State’s Attorney Office in the Eighth Judicial Circuit in Gainesville, FL and the District Attorney’s Office in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in Mobile, AL.
Prior to law school, Lauren received her Bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a minor in Economics from Florida State University.
