Daren Dorminy joined the firm in August 2013. Daren’s statewide practice focuses on representing business, both large and small, corporations, home owners, and insureds, in the areas of Insurance and General Liability Defense and Workers’ Compensation Defense.
These areas include premise liability, wrongful death, first party insurance disputes, automotive and trucking liability and general civil litigation matters. Daren also represents employers, carriers, third party administrators, and self-insured funds for various Workers’ Compensation disputes. Daren has a proven track record of excellent results for his clients and has litigated numerous claims throughout the State of Florida, in both Civil and Workers’ Compensation Courts. Daren is licensed and practices in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and all Circuit and Workers’ Compensation Courts throughout the State of Florida.
Prior to entering law school, Daren spent many years with a Fortune 500 company as a nationally ranked advertising and sales consultant, earning several awards for sales production and client development. During law school Daren clerked for the Honorable Thomas W. Sculco, Judge of Compensation Claims in Orlando, Florida, as a Certified Legal Intern. Daren graduated from law school with honors among the top 5% of his class, and served as a Staff Editor on the school’s Law Review. Daren has held the Martindale-Hubbell® AV Preeminent® rating since 2018, which is the highest possible rating for an attorney for both ethical standards and legal ability. Daren has been appointed to the 2020 -2022 Super Lawyers Rising Star list, a distinction that only 2.5% of attorneys receive. Daren has also been awarded the Top 1% of America’s Most Honored Lawyers by The American Registry, and has been offered inclusion into America’s Top 100 Civil Defense Litigators since 2019.
